Shopify Connector: Enterprise ERP-to-Shopify Middleware

Shopify Connector: Enterprise ERP-to-Shopify Middleware

The challenge

Data silos slow down fashion commerce.

Product data lives in the ERP, orders come in via Shopify and fulfilment runs through an external logistics provider. With thousands of SKUs, languages and currencies, manual reconciliation becomes a growth risk.

The solution

Five pillars of automation.

A bidirectional bridge automates the entire product-to-fulfilment lifecycle.

01

7,000+ products

Complex colour and size variants, multilingual data and automated lifecycle management.

Stock every ~2 minutes

Delta-based synchronisation minimises API load and prevents overselling.

03

Orders in real time

New Shopify orders are validated, transformed and automatically handed to the ERP.

04

Fulfilment automated

Shipping, tracking, returns and refunds run through one shared pipeline.

05

Media at scale

FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

Which ERP systems are supported?

The Shopify Connector is ERP-agnostic by design and connects to a wide range of ERP and merchandise-management systems. Its modular, API-first architecture makes new integrations straightforward — get in touch about your system.

Is the solution ready for Shopify's API future?

Yes. The connector is built entirely on the Shopify GraphQL Admin API, in line with Shopify's shift away from the REST API. New Shopify features and API requirements can be adopted without re-architecting.

How often is stock synchronised?

Stock synchronisation runs roughly every 2 minutes via Shopify's GraphQL API. Delta-based updates ensure that only actual changes are transferred. This minimises API load and effectively prevents overselling.

Are returns and refunds processed automatically?

Yes, the entire returns and refunds workflow is fully automated. Fiege Logistics delivers returns data as XML, which the connector parses and processes in Shopify as a refund — including quantity verification and status updates.

How are multiple languages and currencies handled?

Product descriptions are automatically synchronised in German, English and Dutch. Price calculation accounts for country-specific tax rates and supports EUR and CHF with automatic currency conversion.

How many products can the system handle?

The Shopify Connector currently manages more than 7,000 products with complex colour and size variants. The architecture is built for scale — with intelligent rate limiting, buffer management and batch processing for media uploads.

Can it be customised?

Absolutely. The connector is developed as a bespoke solution and adapted to your specific business processes. From custom metafields and specific SKU conventions to individual fulfilment workflows — everything is configurable.
